Liberty Insurance offers Motor Policy Covid-19 Relief Fund

Liberty Insurance policyholders can claim back a portion of their motor premium or choose to donate the amount to Irish charities providing Covid-19 relief as part of an online initiative by the insurer.
The €5 million “Motor Policy Covid-19 Relief Fund”, will provide eligible car, taxi, motorcycle, and commercial vehicle insurance policyholders with a cash equivalent voucher to the value of 15% of two months of their premium.
Customers will have the choice of receiving this relief as cash equivalent voucher for Circle K / SuperValu and / or donate to ALONE, Barnardos, and Pieta in support of their work with people impacted by Covid-19.
If customers choose to make a charitable donation, Liberty will ensure the exact relief value is paid directly to the charities on their behalf.
This move is part of Liberty Insurance’s wider response strategy to Covid-19, details of which were first announced on 28 April, including greater flexibility on payment terms for motor and home insurance premiums.
In addition, Liberty has partnered with Daft.ie to provide much needed accommodation for our doctors and nurses working on the frontline of the Covid-19 crisis. As part of this ‘Housing Heroes’ initiative, Liberty is providing complimentary contents insurance to all those homeowners generous enough to open up their properties to our frontline medical professionals. The insurer has also already made charitable donations to ALONE and Pieta, at a European-level, as well as a €250,000 donation to Médecins Sans Frontières, in response to the Covid-19 crisis.
