Another strong performance throughout 2019 led Massey Ferguson to further gains in market share across the UK and Ireland, in what has been a challenging a uncertain commercial environment for many.
William Judge, Manager, National Sales, for the region, says the advance is in line with the company’s ¬ five-year strategy aims and exemplified by the enthusiastic reception received for the NEXT tractor range. “The NEXT EDITION 700 S and 7700 S have already proved to be extremely popular since their launch at Agritechnica,” he reported in the company’s May 2020 Next Edition Magazine.
Particular emphasis this year, he adds, is being focussed by the dealer network on MF’s class-leading range of grass equipment – mowers, tedders, rakes and round balers – from both a sales and after-sales viewpoint.
Turning to cereals, William highlights the launch of the IDEAL combines: “In 2019, we saw a number of them making their ¬first outings for customers and the feedback from them has been extremely positive,” he states. “This is clearly an area that will grow into the future and rightly reposition Massey Ferguson at the forefront of the combine world.”
Conceding that the industry as a whole has been very difficult to forecast against the backdrop of Brexit uncertainty, William is hoping for greater stability and clarity for the industry as the reality unfolds.
“But, on a higher note,” he reminds customers – actual and potential, “the MF Experience tour will be continuing this year around the UK and Ireland. Watch out for locations.”
