Peugeot Ireland has introduced the new Peugeot 5008, to fill a key role in the car market as a spacious and stylish seven-seater SUV designed for modern families. The car is based on the state-of-the-art STLA Medium platform, the new 5008 comes with the choice of two efficient electrified power system.
Customers can choose between a hybrid drive or the all-electric version with up to 502 (WLTP) kilometres of range, at the same starting price of €50,995. Peugeot already offers the broadest electric line-up of any mainstream European brand, with the E-5008 becoming its second entry into the large electric SUV following the launch of the new E-3008.
A Seven-Seater That Adapts to Every Family’s Needs
Peugeot claims that the new 5008 is built for growing families and adventure seekers alike. With three rows of seating as standard, the interior ensures every passenger travels in comfort. The sliding and tilting second row provide easy access to the third row, while tri-zone climate control keeps everyone comfortable on long journeys. GT trim also adds rear window blinds and interior ambient lighting for a touch of luxury.
Stylish and Practical Design
Available in six colours, GT models boast a distinctive Black Diamond roof and rear spoiler. LED lighting technology enhances visibility, with Pixel LED headlights and signature three-claw LED daytime running lights (on GT versions). The 5008 comes with 19-inch alloy wheels featuring a geometric design that enhances both aesthetics and aerodynamics.
At the heart of the 5008 is Peugeot’s Panoramic i-Cockpit, featuring a stunning 21-inch curved digital display that combines a raised head-up display with a seamless central touchscreen.
The i-Connect Advanced infotainment system ensures every journey stays connected, offering wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto, 3D connected navigation, and over-the-air updates. For added convenience, the customizable i-Toggle system lets drivers and passengers set up to ten shortcuts for frequently used functions.
Tow power options and more to come
Customers can choose between two efficient power options. The all-electric E-5008 is equipped with a 73kWh battery and a 210hp motor. It offers up to 502km (WLTP) of range. Peugeot claims that DC fast charging allows a 20% – 80% top-up in just 30 minutes. A long-range 98kWh variant (668km WLTP) will follow in mid-2025.
The second option is the 5008 Hybrid 136 e-DCS6 which is fitted with Peugeot’s 48V hybrid system pairs a 136hp petrol engine with an electric motor for improved efficiency. In urban driving, Peugeot claims that it can operate in 100% electric mode for up to 50% of the time, reducing fuel consumption by up to 15% (5.8 l/100 km WLTP).
Trim options
The new 5008 is available in Allure and GT trims. The entry level Allure trim includes adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, wireless phone charging, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot detection, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a stylish interior with embossed fabric and leather-effect trim. The higher specification GT versions have in addition a Black Diamond roof, Pixel LED headlights, 3D LED rear lights, ‘Handsfree’ smart electric tailgate, ambient interior lighting, heated seats and heated steering wheel.
