With very little time remaining before the first deadline of June 2020, manufacturers are still short of legal certainty regarding the urgent request put forward to the European Commission some ten weeks ago to address the consequences of the supply-chain disruptions created by Covid-19 for machines with transition engines.
Regrettably, progress has been extraordinarily slow. CEMA, the European Farm Machinery Manufacturers Association believes that a practical solution must now be put forward within days by the EU executive and urgently handled by the co-legislators to avoid adding a European industrial crisis to a global pandemic.
