Toyota offers new Battery Electric Toyota C-HR+

Toyota has revealed the Toyota C-HR+, a new battery electric (BEV) model that it claims will be make it a strong contender in Ireland’s vital C-SUV battery electric vehicle segment. Scheduled for launch in Ireland in late 2025, Toyota C-HR+ will be a key part of Toyota’s compelling line-up of battery electric products across several battery electric vehicle segments and prices will be announced later in the year.

Although inspired by the Toyota C-HR, Toyota Ireland claims that the Toyota C-HR+ is an individual model in its own right. It is built on Toyota’s dedicated e-TNGA battery electric vehicle philosophy and has a unique body and interior.

The C-HR+ is identified as a contemporary Toyota battery electric vehicle. The front bumper, grille, and headlight designs are all exclusive to the model, while the coupe-crossover silhouette is both distinctive and aero-efficient and is achieved without compromising headroom for rear seat passengers.

The interior comes with ambient lighting. Within an overall length of 4,520 mm, the wheelbase extends to 2,750 mm. The roominess is coupled with practicality and convenience supported by 416 litres of load space.

Recognising different customer needs and priorities, Toyota will offer both 57.7kWh and 77kWh (gross capacity) battery options. The maximum range, according to the WLTP drive cycle, is up to 600km (tentative value pending homologation), depending on grade and powertrain.

The front-wheel drive model with the 57.7kWh battery will offer 167DIN hp/123kW while opting for the 77kWh battery increases the output to 224DIN hp/165kW. Toyota claims that a new battery pre-conditioning feature will improve charging performance in most conditions. Further benefits are gained from an energy-saving heat pump for the air conditioning system and heated seats, steering wheel, and windscreen.
